Millionyoung is Mike Diaz, an upcoming electronic / chillwave producer named from Florida. He recently released a new EP on cassette & digital download because, uh, I guess cassette is the new vinyl with these chillwavebros. I could understand why one would release onto cassette with the purported reasoning that cassettes cutoff frequencies that help achieve a decidedly lo-fi sound, but when also offering a digital release that has no imperfections I can’t help but question “wtf… why?”

Anyhow,  the EP itself is pretty good… not amazing but there are a few gems. Check ‘em out below… and no, I’m not buying a cassette player to play this ridiculous thing.

Eagerly waiting for this freaking gifted young producer to drop an EP or something. Definitely a re-legitimizing of electro given its precise glitch treatment.
