This blog’s been a ghost town, time to fix that.

This spring, a lot’s been going on. A lot of us would have what some focus groups call a life addiction.

So, new office means new break room. Ngmoco upgraded to a new space that can hold nearly 100 people… the last office maxed out at 40.

Epic work is going on is all I can say. We’re working really hard to get our next title shipped. Life would be  rough without the free drinks and snacks.

I finally hit up NYC for a weekend to visit Sean with Jesse and Paul C. coming through as well. Central park was incredible… and I failed hardcore deciding not to bring a cam. We got our cathedral fix.

My 24th happened at the house. Kane, Jesse,  Paul, and Jimmy showed up the night before and surprised me… because apparently they got drunk earlier that week and already committed to it. The party was legit; daytime drinking is so much easier.

And I learned a new game. Witness Amit ass Matani get iced.

Graham and I have also been trying out dangerous, experimental monitor color calibration techniques.

Yes, this was all voluntary. Graham chaperoned… we have proof.

By the way, G.Moon is up here for good, job comin’ any day via nuclear turtle… so lets throw in some music for good measure? More posts coming once the next game is handled.

The lead singer from Bloc Party came out with a solo album. It’s pretty solid.

I haven’t done Flash for about 2 years and since got back into it the past 2 weeks in order to throw together a battle view for Epic Pet Wars on Facebook + epicpetwars.com… The difference is pretty intense compared to what was there before. Now the battle sequences on the web outpace the phone (in my opinion) just slightly provided you have a top-of-the-line computer. Only issue with it is performance, so I’ll be working on a video settings pane for turning down graphical effects in order to make FPS go up on slower machines. The entire app was programmed in Actionscript 3… there is no timeline code. Many thanks to the tweener and rotator classes I took advantage of to simplify programming animations.

Anyhow, the experience has been pretty fun since a lot of it was just visual effects and transitions work.
