I understand that the goal was an "aged" lo-fi sound, but there is really no excuse for how low the input levels must have been when they recorded this. At loud volumes there's an obscene amount of tape hiss. Also I was kind of hoping for a cool jacket or something, but it looks like it was just printed on a plain old color printer (nothing on the back either). Then again, it's kind of neat to buy something from a label that's small enough to send their customers a personal email with a link to download the album (and include all the other buyers in the address field!). MillionYoung is touring with some pretty popular/similar acts on the east coast now, I may travel to nyc to see him play a show with a bunch of other chillwavers in march. ("soft denial" and "day we met" are my favorites, the rest of the EP I could take or leave.
